Erin's Bat Mitzvah

I spent last weekend in Dallas photographing the Bat Mitzvah of a very special young woman.



Erin is the rockstar in the middle. The air musicians are sister Carolyn & mom Debbie. This is my favorite photo from the celebration because it is so fun and unexpected.



The synagogue, Tiferet Israel, was exquisite. Erin was so poised during the ceremony. There had to be 200 guests in attendance, but Erin acted as if she performs in front of huge crowds all the time. I was so proud of her.



Erin's Bat Mitzvah was during havdalah, which is observed at the end of the sabbath. Here she is joined by her sister Carolyn and observed by their rabbi.



Erin's party was amazing. While the grown ups enjoyed their dinner, the kids were entertained by a DJ, an artist doing caricatures, a photo booth (hence the cool green background in the top photo), and a chocolate fountain. While everyone (grown ups included) watched a slideshow of Erin's life, I was so happy to see Erin enjoying every moment of her celebration. Mazel tov!
