Happy New Year

Nothing quite like chasing a seventeen month old with a camera. It's no problem getting those candid moments as Lola only wants to run, explore and discover AND not pose for my photographs. I'll call this "the flower series" photographed in Dallas.

Eliana

Our delicious excuse to visit Dallas was to meet our new niece Eliana. Only two months old and so beautiful, with her mother's eyes and her father's dark hair!

Ron's brother Michael.

Our sister-in-law Michelle.

So cute and tiny!

It is going to be so much fun to watch Lola and Eliana grow up (and get into trouble) together.

Mike Talbot

While we were in Dallas this past week visiting with family, we photographed our cousin, Mike Talbot, who is a very talented drummer. We worked on some new photos for his website and listened to him play.

We had such a great time hanging out and it brought back great college memories for me of photographing musicians and concerts in San Diego... David Bowie, Nirvana, Iggy Pop, Sound Garden, Morrissey, and Jane's Addiction.

The Madler Family

I just came back from the most wonderful week in Los Cabos at my little brother's wedding. (Congratulations Lee & Katie!)

Back in Sedona, I visited my favorite place, Red Rock Crossing, with an amazing family, the Madlers. I met Tracy two years ago when I was pregnant with Lola. She is a wonderful midwife practicing in Prescott, Arizona. Her youngest son is a water baby like my daughter Lola.

Tracy and Ron have four great kids. We had fun exploring the park, finding rocks and trees to climb, looking at how Oak Creek changes with every season. It was a delightful afternoon and I appreciated that they drove in from Prescott for some last minute holiday photos.
